So Many Events

These past couple of weeks have been packed with fun events for the kids. We have enjoyed trips to the Provo Rec Center, Lions Park, Firemans Park, Chic Fil A, 7-11, Fat Cats, the Provo Splash Pad and BYU campus to sell lemonade and popcorn. Over two days of selling lemonade we made $33. Some summer campers went to ask people nearby to buy lemonade, some worked at the table, and others stood holding the sign for passing cars to see. With all the money earned our class decided to have a pizza party this past Friday. There was a great lesson to be taught, that if you work hard it will pay off and you can enjoy the fruits of your labor.
One of our in class activities last week was our ship building activity. In class, students had the opportunity to make their own model ships which included cutting, gluing, assembling, and painting. A few days later we went to the park and floated our boats down the river!
We also would like to thank the local DI for donating a box full of books to the Fox Class for a very low discounted price. Each student had the chance to pick 1-2 books that they got to keep!

Our class volcano. Made with flower, salt, and water. Painted over and added dinosaurs to make it appear more real. Afterwords, the volcano exploded by adding baking soda and vinegar. I guess we know how the dinosaurs became extinct :(
